Description
Scout members can be awarded the Australian Defence Force badge by fulfilling any two of the three following activities:
- Defence Life – Give a presentation to the section on some aspect of Defence life. One or more of the following or another of your choice agreed to by your Leader needs to be included: How do Defence families cope with frequent relocations to new cities new schools etc? What kind of job could a Defence force serving member have?
- Defence Knowledge – Visit a military base or establishment and present your experiences to your section. One or more of the following or another of your choice agreed to by your Leader needs to be included: What did you see on your visit? What did you do there?
- Defence Operations – Complete a short project (1 page or equivalent, written, pictorial or multi-media) that either shows how Defence personnel contribute to peace or how they assist the community in times of civil emergency.
